Playing For Life
Playing for Life set up in 2005 by Tracy Piggott is working closely with communities in Tanzania, Kenya & Malawi. Focused on teaching and training practical skills and trades, mainly in rural areas where many young people do not get the opportunities to complete a full edcuation.
Practical skill empowers the community through microfinance to move along the road to self sustainability. Playing for Life sends students to skills training college, runs practical courses such as tailoring, woodwork, toolmaking and supplies the tools necessary to get started. Through sport & play Playing for life educates youngsters about the dangers, social myths and taboos surronding HIV/AIDS
All proceeds from Tri-Burgh are going directly to support these projects.
Make a donation - Make a differance
An opportunity will be provided to make a donation to Playing for Life which can be added to your entry fee. We hope that if you can make a small donation you will - it will be greatly appreciated and will make a real difference to peoples lives.
Under the 2001 finance act, a corporate tax relief scheme is in place for companies that make a donation to eligible charities. A company donation of greater than €250, with no upper limit can qualify for tax relief at the current rate of corporation tax. The company can claim the deductions as if a trading expense. Tri-Burgh will provide tax reciepts as necessary.
